Hiring will be shaped by technology

Skill-based hiring was a hot topic in 2024. But let’s be honest, not every company was ready to dive in completely.

It merges business utility and inclusion. Beyond addressing labor shortages, tapping into the hidden workforce also aligns with broader societal movements toward inclusivity and social responsibility.

The best place for chile roastingN- Albuquerque's Original Chile Roaster

If you are looking to get some green Chile roasting in Albuquerque , there is only one place that has been doing it since 1977. Farmers Chile Market, located at 2010
Eubank, or just Farmers Market back then, started the Albuquerque chile roasting tradition when the owner Jhett was just 19 years old. Since then, roasted chile has overtaken the city, and it seems like you can find chile roasters on most major street corners these days. In New Mexico,  whether you spell it chile or chili, it isn’t hard to find roasting. Even large grocery chains set up roasters, but generally the chile and roast quality is
not as good.

A New Mexico Tradition
The fact is, green and red chile are part of the fabric which makes up Albuquerque. Whether you want to roast it yourself in the oven, or have us roast it on our barrel roasters, chile roasting is a staple of life in Albuquerque. There is a reason we always  ask the question “green or red?” when it comes to our favorite spicy food. A commitment to quality roasted chile We aim to please, and always offer the highest quality chile we can find. There is a reason our chile is priced higher than major grocery stores. It costs more  to grow and handle. Chile for us isn’t some afterthought loss leader.

Farmers Chile Market - Albuquerque's Original Chile Roaster. Fresh and dried New Mexico green and red chile, hatch chile ristras, and local produce galore. We pride ourselves on having the best New Mexico chile, whether it is from Hatch, San Antonio, or somewhere else in New Mexico. We carry many different varieties of chile, including Big Jim,  Sandia, Miss Junie, Barker, Lumbre, and more. We started roasting chile in 1977, but our family has been selling produce in Albuquerque since the 1950’s. Farmers Market was  an Albuquerque landmark for decades, until it closed in 2017.

The long droughts in California made it difficult to compete with grocery stores on most produce. Although we sold a lot of New Mexican produce and continue to do so,  there isn’t enough variety to run a store year round. We never missed a chile season. We know chile, and have been working with local farmers for years, so we can  get ripe produce at its peak freshness. Where to get the best ristras and other dried chile products is another thing we have learned over the years. It goes without  saying that our roasted chile has great flavor too.
