When such veneers are placed over each other, they give an illusion of the logs placed on top of each other.

The texture of these veneers is dependent on the structure of the annual rings, and since no two trees are similar, the textures in every sheet are very distinct. You can get very unique wall patterns by just changing the placement of the veneer sheets.
