Are you going to set your career goal as a consumer non-durable? Let me describe Consumer Goods Sector Definition and what do consumernon-durables jobs pay.
Consumer non-durable goods (CNDG) means those items tend to be less expensive than durable goods, but they also don’t last very long. What does that mean for job
seekers?
The CNDG sector has grown rapidly over the past decade. In 2016, the U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated that employment opportunities would
increase by 16% between 2014 and 2024.
With the growth of the CNDG sector comes new challenges for workers. For
example, the average wage for a CNDG worker was $26.58 per hour in 2017,
compared to $25.42 for a manufacturing worker. That means that even though CNDG
jobs are often lower paying, they offer greater flexibility and freedom.
