Although the majority of Muslims in Africa are non-sectarian Muslims, Sunnis or Sufis, the complexity of Islam in Africa is reflected in the different ideologies, traditions and voices that are constantly struggling for dominance in many African countries. Islam is not stable in Africa and is constantly changing due to the current social, economic and political situation.
