1. 2. After the gearing has been in operation for a period of time, the axis of the pinion and the axis of the Raymond mill stage drum may become non-parallel, causing the gear meshing to become a local contact. If the gear is unevenly applied over the entire tooth width, it tends to cause bending and torsional deformation of the gear shaft.
