Amber Heard shares a behind the scenes video in Mera's costume for Justice League, revealing it was more awkward to move in than it appeared.
Amber Heard provided a behind the scenes glimpse into what it was like wearing Mera's Atlantean costume for the production of Justice League.

The brief video, shared to the actor's Instagram, showed that the costume was not as graceful to move in as it appeared in the water onscreen. She struggled to stay on her feet as the limitations of the costume became awkwardly apparent. Leaning against a counter, she appeared to struggle to bend her legs as required and was forced to rock herself forward. This resulted in her knocking a beverage to the floor, which she then proceeded to struggle to pick up.
Heard appeared in both versions of Justice League, her character fighting alongside Jason Momoa's Aquaman. In both scenes she fights to keep the Atlantean Mother Box away from Steppenwolf. Zack Snyder's cut depicted Mera differently, extending her fight scene with the addition of her manipulation of water to begin drawing the blood from the villain's body. While her outfit was the same in both versions, her voice was drastically different, as she used a British accent in Snyder's cut.
