Awesome scenery, various weapons and strategies.

-You absolutely need to start you combo's before you enemy reaches you.-

It starts out pretty bland, just a few types of Ork, pretty straightforward combat. It very quickly becomes a lot more ... interesting. There's no Arkham\/Assassins creed timed combat. You need to crowd control intelligently, kite around mobs and use your firepower properly.

Early on, you're just chopping your ways through hordes. Soon enough, you'll need to be smart about picking your first enemy, keeping an appropriate distance and timing your blows. There are no warnings or prompts, only enemies whose attacks are not interrupted unless you end an appropriate combo before they can hit you.

11 hours of great fun on medium.. (not native speaker here)

While not being a AAA game, it's at least a AA game : the graphics are still clean for today (2019), the feeling of the gameplay is flawless while not revolutioning anything, the campagne is really enjoyable with cool cinematics while not being top notch. The multiplayer is really cool while being almost dead to this date (don't take DLC's, there is nobody to play them, but classics maps are still played and the Horde mode is fun as \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665). Seriously, it's a shame that Dawn Of War 3 failed that hard and Relic said they will focus from now on on Ages Of Empire 4 (still a good news tho) but we need a Space Marine 2 ! There are a lots of good Games Workshop video games, but they are for the vast majority little productions with meh to bad quality... Space Marine is for me the only game with DoW 1 close to a triple A in the GW universe. go for it, it cost nothing today and is enjoyable for what it is !. This game got me into the Warhammer 40,000 universe, so I highly recommend this. It is short but memorable just like Metal Gear Rising. The gameplay is exciting. The story is interesting, and the characters are memorable. For a game that deviates from the standard RTS that is WH40k by having this game as a third-person shooter, the developers have done a great job to introduce the WH40k fandom to potential fans. A word of caution when it comes to multiplayer, there is a huge skill gap -- in terms of item unlocks due to leveling -- between veteran players and newbies so do not get angry when you get obliterated on your first online game (the fact that there are not a lot of players makes it difficult to earn items, perks, and weapons that can give you the competitive edge).. hack and slash game but if you're a fan of warhammer you will love this ! the story was more then i imagined from this type of game but im left wanting more of captain titus !! , gameplay is fun and challenging all in one. This game is alot of fun, plenty of action, slaying of heretics, etc. however the reason i give this a thumbs down is because its not worth $40, it took me 5 hours to complete and some people could prebably do it in less, this is one of those games id stick at $20 it has very little replay-ability and i feel its price is unjustified.. Multiplayer is dead, brothers. The story is sheer violent, satisfying, sweet bolter\/melee porn. Why this game was never followed up on is beyond me. I wish the Exterminatus maps would not be only balanced for 4 players and dynamically balance down for smaller groups. Warning: The Dreadnought map is not coop as Steam says. They never fixed the error in the ad even when brought to Steam's attention.
