The U.S. government plans to set a bill to ban cooperation with Huawei

Since just a few days after Huawei's plan to reach a deal with AT & T for the sale of Huawei handsets in the United States fails, China's plans to expand its presence in the United States will face new challenges.

The U.S. Congress moved a motion to ban government agencies from cooperating with Huawei (including another technology company in China, ZTE). bsm150gt120dn2

The motion cites the reports of the U.S. intelligence agencies, which show that telecom companies are often subject to national policies.

In 2013, Michael CIA and the National Security Agency. General Hayden declared that the intelligence they collected showed that some telecommunications companies had shared some sensitive information with the Chinese government.

In 2015, the FBI's investigation report once again expressed concern that the Chinese government may be involved in U.S. commercial communications with Huawei Technologies. mg100q2ys42

In addition, in 2017, ZTE admitted to violating the U.S. Emergency Economic Powers Act by selling the equipment it produced from the United States to Iran (ZTE has reached a criminal settlement with the United States and incurred huge compensation).

Based on the above intelligence content, the purpose of the U.S. Congress is to ban the procurement or use of telecom equipment or services from these two companies (Huawei and ZTE) as the core technology component of U.S. telecom equipment.

According to TechCrunch, the bill still needs to be approved by the U.S. Regulatory Commission, and then the House of Representatives votes. If voted, the bill will be submitted to the Senate, eventually signed by the U.S. President will become effective law.
