The History of Thai footballers dates back to the early 19th century. In the 19th century the game was promoted as a way to modernize the country. The nation's association football squad carved its name in history by pioneering the sport at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. However, Thailand suffered its biggest defeat at the hands of the United Kingdom. The 1998 Tiger Cup saw Thailand defeat Indonesia. As a youngster, Night's family prepared a SpongeBob SquarePants birthday cake and colourfully wrapped presents. Despite the cave being flooded with water, the team was not prepared for it.
