The Governor of Bahiti calls with a challenge for Dr. Quest: extinguish an overactive volcano. Benton's suspicions are aroused well ahead of a tarantula later appearing in his bed as his plane's hanger catches fire. The mountain erupts frequently, disgorging a colossal column of flame with smoke yet producing little ash and no lava. Flying over to peer into its crater, Benton and Race are shot down and captured by agents of Dr. Zin. Jonny and Hadji, having seen Benton and Race enter the volcano but not exit, head to rescue them, finding the mountain full of explosives and guarded by dangerous men with rifles and flying platforms.
The atypical behavior of a volcano catches Dr. Quest's interest, initially unaware that it's the latest weapon project of Dr. Zin, protected by sharpshooters on hovercrafts.
The Quest Gang head off to some remote country (if they ever said a name, I missed it) to help the locals with a terrifying volcano. But as soon as Dr. Quest sees the volcano in action, he realizes something else is going on – something much more human in origin than natural.

A couple of years ago, I was on a pretty good pace to get through the entire Jonny Quest series and write a review on each episode. I stopped before I could do a write-up for The Fraudulent Volcano. It's such a dull episode with little going for it that I was sort of put off Jonny Quest. It's hard to get excited about the plot of this one. The volcano poses little real danger to the Quest family. And the bad guys and their ridiculous flying platforms aren't menacing enough to be effective. Sure, Dr. Zin makes a brief appearance, but he's safely thousands of miles away from the action. With little to recommend, I've got no choice but to rate The Fraudulent Volcano a disappointing 4/10.

The one highlight for me is the bad guy on the motor-scooter who looks just like Adolph Hitler. What's up with that? Makes me laugh every time I see him. Dr. Benton was called by the governor of Bahiti to help him about the the strange Volcano, arriving there they flying over the top of the Volcano to find something wrong,they received a ray and the plane setting fire, they ejects himself but fall off inside the crater and were captured by Dr. Zin's men meanwhile Jonny and Hadji are pursuit by an kind of flying machines, but hidden for them and they succeed in getting into the mountain to find Dr. Benton and Race to helps them.
