ContinueOur core values—our most cherished and deeply held beliefs—make us who we are. They not only serve as instructions for how we should behave, but they also reveal our identity and our top priorities to the outside world. Having strong core values—the kind of ideals that motivate others to support your mission—is fundamentally important in business.
1.Passion
The first of my "core values" was passion. We do what we do because we are passionate about it; it motivates us every day. People can tell when you're not being sincere or when you're not passionate. It is evident. If you truly enjoy what you do, you give your hundred percent.
2.Harmony
In the restaurant industry, cooperation is a must. Your team needs to work harmoniously. We must all cooperate to complete the task, even if you don't particularly like someone or choose to hang out with them outside of the kitchen. Additionally, harmony in the strictest sense, i.e., the harmony of wine and cuisine, the smooth operation of the restaurant, etc.
3.Humility
We are not overly serious about ourselves. My team needs to be humble, to value and pay attention to others. At all of my restaurants, we operate as a team, and I want people to understand they don't know everything. Making mistakes is acceptable as long as you learn from them. Additionally, I want my team to understand that everyone—no matter who they are—is significant. Everyone has a part to play in how the restaurant operates, from the dishwasher to the executive chef. It doesn't work properly without just one person.
4.Imagination
We enjoy having fun! We don't take ourselves too seriously and want to foster innovation and creativity. We want our chefs to be creative and enjoy themselves. Some of our best ideas originate from there.
5.Compassion
Not only for the restaurant but for life in general, this is extremely crucial. You must take care of your needs as well as those of your employees, visitors, and community. Why should anyone care if you don't?
6.Courage
I firmly believe that it requires bravery to do what we do, to own up to our mistakes, and recognize that there is always room for improvement. It takes a lot of guts to stand up and claim you can do better!
7.Possession
The most recent addition to the key values is ownership. Ownership entails accepting responsibility and carrying out your duties for the benefit of the entire business as well as yourself. We're all striving for the same final result.
