Using Memoji’s are a great way to build an interesting conversation while texting. Have you ever thought of using the same during a video call? Now, you might have a question about how it is going to happen? In context to your question, all you need to do is set up a Memoji character from the Messages app, and you’re all set to replace your head with a talking Memoji during a video call.

How to Use a Memoji During a FaceTime Call?

The steps to use a Memoji during a FaceTime call on your iPhone or iPad are:

Launch the ‘Phone’ app and search for the contact you want to call using the Search bar.
Tap on the name of the person, and you’ll be headed to a contact page.
Locate the ‘Facetime’ section and tap on the video icon to start a video call.

Note: You may call multiple friends for a group video call.
After the call starts, locate the ‘Effects’ option at the bottom of the screen and click on it.
Tap on the ‘Memoji’ icon in the Effects window.
Scroll through the Memojis and select the one you want to use to replace your head on the call.
The moment you tap on the Memoji character, your face will replace the Memoji. Additionally, the Memoji acts the same way you do; for instance, the way you change your expressions, it does the same. The person you’ve called will hear the original voice; however, the Memoji face will appear on their screen.

Interestingly, in addition to the Memoji character, you can also add a sticker on the top. To do the same, follow the steps mentioned below:

Click on the ‘Effects’ button from the bottom toolbar.
Click on the ‘Memoji Stickers’ option in the Effects window.
Scroll and locate the Memoji sticker you want to use and click on the same.
The stickers will appear on the screen around the Memoji character. You can also add multiple stickers if you want.

To remove the Memoji character from the screen, tap on the ‘Effects’ button, and you’re done.
