About This Game

Super Mr. Kake

A unique cartoon-fighting video game experience visually inspired by The Ren & Stimpy Show.
Super Mr. Kake tells the story of a retired Superhero that is now dedicated to creating wedding and birthday cakes (He´s very good at it by the way)

One day, a mysterious thief steals the most delicious cake he ever made! The situation forces Super Mr. Kake to make an epic comeback. Donning his legendary cape, Super Mr. Kake will need to explore the land of screwlose and search out the thief.
The suspects are many, the guilty is just one, and Super Mr. Kake will do anything and everything to have his cake back.

Game play

Super Mr. Kake is a deliciously difficult and fast paced fighting game. Use dodging, blocking and timing, then deliver devastating blows to your enemies.
Enemies will get progressively tougher as you advance through the game story, forcing you to adapt, learn their patterns and look for openings.

Oh god it's bad, it's so bad. I love the cartoon style of ren and stimpy and thought it was going to be fun because of it, and i was expecting something similar to punch out, but the controls are absolutely horrendous. You can get past the cockroach but once you get to the skeleton, that's as much as you'll see from this game. You'd be better off playing something else.

Luckily i got this on sale for under a dollar, which at most is what i would pay for. But even then, when on sale, I still wouldn't recommend it. Oh god it's bad, it's so bad. While it didn't remind me of Ren And Stimpy, it instead reminded me of Rocko's Modern Life, which is still a really good thing. And while some of people's complaints is the control scheme is bad, I thought it was okay. The thing that was disappointing was the gameplay. The first level, with the weird cockroach guy, was really hard. However, I was just barely able to graze through it normally, so I did a bit of spamming. After that, I couldn't get past the skeleton guy. Last thing is the price. I would've gotten this for maybe half of it's price, but I thought $5 was a little much for this. Overall, unless you can master the intensity of the game and you've played enough arcade fighters, I can't recommend it. For what seems to be Five Entertainment's first game, this is a disappointing start, but I wish them well on any future endeavors.
