Ice hockey is probably the best sport there is. Speed, action, fun, intensity, some fighting and \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665 finishes (see IIHF World Women's 2019 finals). But! Even at its worst, ice hockey is always exciting. Ice hockey games, on the other hand, can be really awesome or really terrible. Super Blood Hockey is on the awesome side of things, but it has one major flaw. Let's explore the ups and downs of the game:

+ The game looks great. The graphics are well done, they are crisp and nostalgic.
+ Blood here, there and everywhere. Luckily, this is fantasy. In real life, this would be scary.
+ The controls feel good and responsive.
+ Numerous modes and options are cool. Variety is always cool (but we need more).
+ The newly completed Franchise Mode is great. I like the coaching aspect. But hey, don't take drugs kids! or adults! Btw, player names and reasons of imprisonment are hilarious! I almost died reading them out loud.
+\/- The music is good, but the game needs more tracks.
+\/- Local multiplayer is fun and all, but this game cries for online multiplayer mode. And I hate online multiplayer games! But I want it here :D
+\/- There could be more countries represented, but the current count is acceptable.
+\/- Playmaker, Enforcer, Sniper, Goalie. That's all. We need more "classes"!
-Now the major flaw. All the plus\/minus aspects are only minor, but this one isn't: the game is way too easy! This is really bad for the Franchise Mode, because there is almost no challenge to it. And the sad thing is, I don't know how it could be remedied.

Super Blood Hockey is awesome, but it needs more variety and challenge options. Should you buy it? Absolutely! SBH is worth the price! Enjoy this game by yourself or with friends. Of course, beer always improves everything so... Grabbing a few beers with friends while playing only improves the gaming experience, like beer improves the experience of watching real ice hockey! 9\/10!

*Men's World Championship games are almost here! Get hyped!*. This game is superb! I played the old school NES Hockey years ago and loved it. Now I can play a souped up version over the Internet with my friend and relive the glory days. Thank you to the devs for making this a thing. And if anyone is wondering how to play online with people, check out Parsec. It works!. This is essentially for fans of the hockey game on the NES system, only instead of it being family friendly; you get hockey in reality, with more blood and gore. The controls are very tight and responsive, and pays great respect to it's source material.. Super Blood Hockey is an awesome game, Fluid and Simple Controls, Pixel graphics, 4 Player Local coop or versus and lots of blood.

It is a true recreation of the classic sports games.

There is just a exhibition mode just a fast match

Challenge mode, which has 5 challenges that unlock some cool tweaks

Tournament mode which needs you to play every country

And a newly added franchise mode, in which you need to manage the team and play for the team.

All of these gamemodes are playable with up to 4 players :)

The game runs awesome on Arch Linux and i would recommend it to anyone, Especially if you like couch co op :)
