Summer games fest included a new action-packed trailer for tales of arise, the latest entry in the jrpg tales series from bandai namco. This newest trailer reveals two new characters and plenty of other tidbits for fans of the series. Tales of arise launches on xbox, playstation, and pc on september 10, 2021. Tiny tina's wonderlands is a brand-new game set in the borderlands universe, and is expected to combine an all-star cast with traditional borderlands humor and zany action, as well as some more fantasy-like aspects. Tiny tina's wonderlands is coming to xbox series x|s, xbox one, ps5, ps4, and pc sometime in 2022.

A new sequel of the cult-favorite soulsborne indie game salt and sanctuary is coming. Titled salt and sacrifice, the game will expand on the side-scrolling action dungeon crawling of its predecessor. The upcoming indie exploration game sable finally has a confirmed release date.

This indie-filled showcase featured over 70 different titles, all having a cozy and - you guessed it - wholesome aesthetic. The wholesome games direct announcements included an ooblets update, plenty of relaxing and visually stunning puzzle games, some witchy games, and, of course, games with cats, birds, and other adorable little creatures. The kickoff show will be followed by a series of events from game publishers and platforms.

At the time of writing, geoff keighley hasn't shared any planned announcements for the show just yet. He always likes to tease a few reveals before proceedings get underway though, so we'll be sure to update this section when we learn more.
