Well, I thought I had found a simple and quirky game that would satisfy my mech war needs. However, that was not to be so. The "game" is not really so much of a game, but more of a "proof of concept". You have one mech, which you can upgrade with a few options of chassis, cabin, weapons, legs, and colors. All of which take some money. So far so good.

However, there is only a single map, the opponents are pretty simple AI pilots that either fire at the closest enemy, or if close enough, at your base center. That's it. Rinse, repeat. There is about 2 hours of game here, as you earn enough money to buy the biggest guns and fastest legs, and then proceed to crush mechs by the truckload, and wait out the inevitable defeat at ever stronger waves of opponents. But it is fun to watch them explode over and over again. Until you are done with it.

The game would have been nice and simple if there had been several more maps, more intelligent opponents, and even the ability to defeat the enemy base by blowing up their base center. Alas, that is not present.

I would suggest buying this game when it is deeply discounted, and there have been updates and additions to it.
