About This Game

Space Cat is an arcade platforming game. The goal is to collect as many points as possible without dying. The game's terrain is constantly being manipulated by destructive forces, such as bombs and missiles, and UFOs, which randomly generate new terrain. No two playthroughs of the game are the same!

There are three different game modes. Classic Mode, the main game, is as described above. Giant Mode lets you experience the game on a map that's 4x as large as the original game. Battle Mode allows you to play a free-for-all deathmatch with up to four players on six unique stages.

The game's options menu allows for a completely personalized gameplay experience. You can toggle items and movement options to adjust the difficulty to whatever you feel is best for you. If you want an especially difficult game, turn off all movement options and turn on more hazards, and for an easier game, vice versa... 7ad7b8b382

Simply put, Space Cat is a fun and challenging NES-inspired, Arcade-Style platformer. It's filled with variety, charm, and challenge all mixed together just right. The soundtrack is also stellar and definitely worth buying on Bandcamp. One thing I personally had trouble with was the controls, but I gradually got used to them. With a new update having just recently launched, adding a bunch of new, quality, content, I'd say now is better than ever to pick up this game, especially for $5.. Great game. . Space Cat is easily one of my favorite "Hard" games now with Version 2.0. This update adds so much to the original game, on top of the classic modes, there is an updated hub area, hats, basketball, changeable soundtracks (at the time of this review, only a few are out) and most importantly, an adventure mode.

This mode has 8 stages that are very much like classic side scroller bullet hells, except with the mechanics from the base game, allowing for some fun mobility. The jetpack opens up the option of avoiding enemies, and in the later stages, its sometimes better to do just that. There are a few weapon choices, but they work differently from each other, allowing for smarter play once you get the handle of them. Finishing the adventure mode gave me the same feeling that beating Dark Souls for the first time.

The designs of this game, from levels, to enemies, to the music is fantastic. It's the kind of fun you'd get from turning on your NES playing Mega Man 3 or Castlevania as a kid.
. This game is great. It looks great, I love the concept; one thing is that the controls are a bit wonky(although you do get used to them)so it'd be great to configurate your own.

. High speed start up version of game to be removed due to incorrect leaderboard score issue.:
Groove Coaster fans, currently there is a problem with a portion of the game which is causing scores to appear incorrectly within the leaderboard. The cause of this issue is currently unknown, but started to manifest after the release of the "High speed start up" game build.

It has been decided in order to prevent any further trouble, the "High speed" build of the game will be removed.

We give our most sincere apologies for the trouble caused by this issue.

While returning to the normal build of the game will increase the start up time, it will mean that you can play without issue.

By way of apology for the issues caused, we will be offering part of the June 2019 paid DLC as free additional songs to the main game.
