SMD Double Splice Tape has two rows of raised dots that engage with the sprocket holes of SMD paper (or flat) Tapes. This ensures accurate alignment of the SMD Tape ends and positioning of the joining strips on the Cover Tape as well under the component pockets. No other materials or tools are required for the splicing process. After removal of the printed paper cover from one of the yellow self-adhesive splicing strips the trimmed SMD Tape ends are arranged so that half the number of the raised dots of the clear foil adjacent to the adhesive strip engage with the sprocket holes of each SMD Tape end. This is followed by removal of the other half of the printed paper cover, folding the clear carrier foil around the SMD Tape ends, pressing the two halves firmly together and removing and discarding the carrier foil.smt double splice tape 8mm
