A young double agent struggles to keep his cover when he witnesses a horrifying crime. Are a few innocent lives worth sacrificing for the greater good?
Two 'cleaners' for a criminal organisation have the job to threaten, silence and dispose of anyone who interferes in their employers business. Yet unknown to the other, one is an undercover police officer who is secretly operating to expose the organisation's superiors.
Scruples is a short film of only 15 minutes long following the story of Toschi (James Shepherd) an undercover cop who is infiltrating a criminal organization to take it down from the inside. To climb further up the hierarchy he has to work as a 'cleaner' and shadow Denton (Johan Earl). Although we do not instantly know that Toschi is a cop we are fed little morsels of information for the audience to piece together the true story bit by bit.

The cinematography of this film is brilliant and has all the hallmarks of a AAA blockbuster, flashbacks, suspense, dark settings, a knack for hiding the truth and the like.To further this feeling of suspense Powers utilizes an eerie soundtrack that can be a bit overkill at times but never harms the feeling of the scene.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and would have preferred more action but Powers makes up for this in delivering non-stop suspense in a remarkably short space of time.
