Philippines wins its first Miss Intercontinental crown

Philippines is taking over 2018 as Filipina beauty queens conquer various global beauty pageants. Just recently, the country has won yet another crown at the Miss Intercontinental 2018.

The first-ever Filipina to take home the crown, after 47 years, is no other than Karen Gallman. Gallman is Filipino-Australian who champions better education for poor kids living in rural areas of the country. Party list in the philippines 2019

It was her bold philosophy that drew a loud applause from the viewers. During the Q and A, she shared her own definition of success.

“For me, success is not just about winning in life. It is about setting goals, smaller goals, and achieving your dreams, working hard for everything you want, and always looking up to God and be thankful for everything. For me, that is success,” she said.

Costa Rica’s Adriana Alvarado placed first-runner up and and Slovak Republic’s Laura Longauerova placed second-runner up.
