PEYTON MANNING REPORTEDLY NOT INTERESTED IN BROADCASTING

"I haven't actually talked to Peyton about this," John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal said Wednesday on Good Morning Football, "but people who are close to him say he has no interest in being a sports broadcaster. ... He has little interest in traveling every Sunday. He has little interest in going into work every Sunday to do a studio show."
Manning, who retired after winning Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos, would be perhaps the most sought-after former player in the media landscape. His affable personality and NFL resume made him a pitch man forTyeler Davison Womens Jersey seemingly every other commercial that aired during the latter part of his career.
Ourand said Manning is much more intrigued by the business side of football, highlighting current Broncos executive John Elway as an inspiration. Elway was a founding owner of the Colorado Crush of the Arena Football League before the team folded after the 2008 season. He rejoined the Broncos as their general manager in 2011.
Rumors of Manning's becoming a team owner were prevalent during his playing career, and CBS analysts who were asked about his thoughts last year indicated the former NFL MVP prefers management over media.
"There's no question he'd be terrific [on-air]," former NFL quarterback Rich Gannon told For the Win's Charles Curtis. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported in January that Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay pursued Manning to run football operations, with a pitch for Jon Gruden to take over as head coach. Irsay's pursuit failed in both respects, with Chris Ballard taking over as general manager and Chuck Pagano staying on as coach.
Manning retired with a record $400 million in career earnings, per Forbes.com, but that is not nearly enough for him to take a majority stake in any NFL franchise.
