I've used enjoyed Open Canvas 4 in the past. The tone tools are excellent.

Havn't had a chance to test out much so far but the 4K monitor support works great on my 27" 4K screen. That's a no brainer if you like this software but plan on getting or have a 4K screen.. Great program. A very money saving choice compared to Photobucket. Now I'm not very good at drawing or anything just yet, but this program allows you to use tools within it to make it look nicer. There's alot of youtube videos on this program of people drawing so you can check that out, it's really amazing what you can do with this program.

As for the tools and how to use the program to really get your drawings going, (if youre completely new to digital art like me), just look up the manual by pressing F1 while youre in a drawing session or something.

Btw CTRL + D to deselect after using Magic Wand or Selector. That seriously took me like a week to figure out, so there you go!

Buy this!. The software is very nice and easy to use. I'm new to making art on a computer, so I can definitely say that it's well suited for people who are just now trying digital art. There are a few problems I've had where the menus and the drawing space won't show up and sometimes I can't exit out of the program, but other than that, the program is really good and is a better alternative to buying drawing software and photo editing software because it's practically a combination of both. It's a little expensive, but it's absolutely worth it.. After giving a negative review and finding the solution to the greyscreen bug

had to find the solution my self but what the heck....

to get straight to it is great to use.
for me i switch between krita and opencansas7 and it showes promise.
its only bad for the product not to have anyway of troubleshoot or reset, if it turns to a mess.... gave it a shot after 25 mins of trying to use it i ended up hating it, Its not worth its price at all there are other programs that are free plus some cheaper ones that are way better then this one. I use a lot of 2D art applications. Photoshop CS6, Corel Painter 2019, ArtRage 4, Autodesk Sketchbook, Marmoset Hexels 3, Aseprite, ProMotion NG, Spriter, Black Ink, etc.

While this might not come close to those programs in certain areas it is hands down one of the most responsive programs I've used. Works really well for sketching as there is virtually no input lag using my UGEE tablet and stylus. Most other programs have quite a bit of input lag especially when trying to draw multiple lines in rapid succession as you would when sketching.

Finally a program that can keep up with my frantic pen strokes! :D. I've been using openCanvas for years. This is the first new version I have bought in quite some time. Some quick key shortcuts are gone that should be added back. Namely Dodge/Burn and Fingertip.

Those quick keys work in version 6, but since they've changed the brush engine, they need to update this. Also, what would be nice is a running tab of the last 5 brushes you have used.

I like the darker interface. It seems to run quicker than version 6. I don't have a Wacom Intuos Pro so I can't test the barrel rotation, but if that's working, then I'll likely get one or a Cintiq. This is the first app I've bought on Steam.. i like it, its kind of pricey but still a good program
