Carson Soucy said he has recovered from an upper-body injury and is ready to play for the Minnesota Wild in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.
The Wild went 35-27-7 (.558 points percentage) in the regular season and will enter the qualifiers as the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference. They will play the No. 7 seed, the Vancouver Canucks (36-27-6, .565), in one of eight best-of-5 series.
Soucy, a defenseman, was injured against the Edmonton Oilers, his hometown team, on Feb. 21 after scoring earlier in the game. He missed the final nine games before the NHL season was paused March 12 due to worries surrounding the coronavirus.

Training camp, part of Phase 3 of the NHL Return to Play Plan, is expected to open July 10. Qualifier games as part of Phase 4 will begin at a later date, and two hub cities -- one for each conference -- are still to be determined.
The Wild went 8-4-0 in their final 12 games of the standard season under Dean Evason, who replaced Bruce Boudreau as coach Feb. 14. Soucy, who was out for most of Minnesota's turnaround, said he's excited to try to help the Crazy pick up where they left off.
The Wild went 2-1-0 against the Canucks, who ranked eighth in the NHL in goals per custom jersey lettering game (3.25) and fourth on the power play (24.2 percent).
Soucy, who scored 14 factors (seven goals, seven assists) in 55 games, can become a restricted free agent after this season.
