The default software settings are great, but they are not suitable for all Apple Macbook users. What's more, if you've just switched from Windows to macOS, some of the features may be a mystery. Therefore, we have made a quick guide for those who are just getting acquainted with Apple laptops. Although some of the options will certainly be interesting for experienced "players".

Activate the right mouse button
The right mouse button is initially inactive. This approach is perplexing for those who have just switched to a Mac. Sometimes this even leads to the idea that they got a faulty Magic Mouse.

Enter the Macbook System Preferences, go to the menu item Mouse - Select and click, then check the box next to "Simulate the right button".

Cursor speed changes
If you feel that the cursor is moving too slowly or vice versa quickly, change its speed. To do this, go back to the menu item Mouse - Select and click. On the window that opens, there is a slider called "Movement speed" at the bottom. Having turned it all the way to the right, the cursor will start working at great speed. Turning the knob to the left will make the cursor super slow. It remains to find a balance.

Moving the Dock
The Dock is at the bottom of an Apple laptop screen. With this arrangement, the working space is used not quite rationally. It is better to move the panel to the left or right side of the monitor. This will increase the height of windows in applications and the browser.

To navigate, open System Preferences, Dock. You will see a column called "Screen Location". Instead of the "Bottom" option, select "Right" or "Left" as you see fit.

Minimize application and browser windows
When you minimize an app on an Apple laptop, a thumbnail of the app appears in the Dock. In this case, not a standard icon is shown, but an additional animation. Although the energy looks attractive, after a while you can simply not understand which window is minimized.

To make the program use its own icon when minimized, open Settings - Dock. Next, check the box next to the item "Hide the window in the Dock in the shortcut of the program."
