LED lighting tubes are mainly manufactured to replace the fluorescent tubes and in some cases, it's just simply drop-in replacement. Usually, other tube designs need rewiring and new ballast. These basically work by providing a series of smaller LED lights along the length of a tube that are available in the most size that is generally available.

COB refers to Chip on Board which is another new generation LED technology. LED light provides a denser amount of light if compared to SMD or great optics because. It reflects a consistent beam of controlled light. It provides a better lumen to watt ratio which is eventually highly efficient.
