Labradorite, the star gemstone, is a feldspar mineral that is famous for its shimmering colors and is mainly used for designing mesmerizing gemstone jewelry creations. It is usually gray or brown to black but can also be red, blue or green. It is known for its dazzling colors, which are happened due to the phenomenon called labradorescence. The labradorite was discovered on Paul Island in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and is named after the area.
