Ask anyone alive in 1969 where they were when Apollo 11 touched down on the moon, and they could probably tell you exactly what they 메리트카지노 were doing at that exact moment. Buzz Alderin's famous utterance, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," resonated throughout mankind. Now, 30 years later, the question presents itself: "Should we return to the moon?"
™
The answers to this question are varied, and people on all sides are quite passionate about how they feel. Some argue that exploration is one of the most basic fundamentals about what makes humans great. Without exploration and treading into new waters, progress cannot be made. Others argue for the scientific discoveries that can be made while others argue that we have already been there and should set our sites on other things like Mars.
However, it's not a "been there, done that" situation. There are still unanswered questions that could be answered should we return to the moon, which is much more. We do not even know for certain how the moon was created. It can help us discover the true story behind the creation of not only the Earth and moon, but also of our own solar system.
Who Should Go?
Should a return mission to the moon be a manned mission? Or should a robot be used instead? Manned missions carry immense risk at the cost of human life, while unmanned robots come at a huge cost of money.
Funding
However, the issue of cost arises. Those in favor of a return to the moon argue that the costs of going back to the moon are far less than the costs of perhaps going to Mars. Yet, in such a down economy and the government spending at an all time high on other programs, one must wonder and question if spending money on missions to the moon is in the best interest of the nation. Some argue that with the current poverty and environmental issues currently plaguing the planet, we need to focus on things here, not outside the realm of the earth.
Perhaps if there is a return to the moon, it will not be done by a government sponsored program or with government funding. Private enterprises could take a leading role in returning to the moon.
National Mentality
The overall national mentality is also another factor to consider. When John F. Kennedy made his speech in the early 1960s, the United States was at a very different place in it's national mentality than it is today. The early 60s brought a euphoria off of a booming economy and the ending of the Korean War and World War II. There was a sense that so much was possible, and people set their sights on distant horizons. However, in the present day, the economy is struggling, and we are preoccupied with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Conclusion
The topic of returning to the Moon is a complex one. There are many questions that need to be asked in order for us to begin to discuss if returning to the Moon is feasible. With the end of the Space Shuttle Program and cuts in funding for NASA, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for space travel.
I know you have heard that old disclaimer by science that
planetary bodies are too far away to have any effect upon the
lives of human beings. But now that belief is no longer held by
the scientific community. In fact, it has been proven by Dr.
Percy Seymour, an astronomer at Plymouth University, that the
effect of planets upon our lives is not dependent upon distance.
This means that we are all affected by the magnetic influences
of the planets whether we believe it or not.
The power of the Moon has the most immediate effect because it
changes signs so often. The Moon magnetizes a different
astrological sign (energy field) every two and a half days. This
means that it travels through all of the 12 signs of the zodiac
during its lunar cycle.
What does this mean for you?
Think about the sign your Sun was in at the time your were born.
This means that if you inherited the attitudes of Virgo when you
were born, your Sun was in the sign of Virgo. Since signs are
attitudes, you have the tendency to be efficient, organized,
seek perfection, and like to be of service. Each month, when the
Moon passes through Virgo, it will energize your Virgo
tendencies. Your Virgo, nit-picking attitudes will be very
strong during the Moon's two and a half day journey through the
sign of Virgo.
This means that everyone's specific attitudes are stimulated
by the Moon at some time during each month.
This is why it makes perfect sense to use the energies of the
Moon to bring out a particular attitude (sign) that you want to
express. For example, if you were born at the time when Mars was
in the sign of Aries and need a lot of physical strength to
compete in an event, you would be a lot more energetic if you
did so on a day when the Moon was in Aries. This would be
especially true if the Moon were full. It is full of energy.
This is the essence of proper timing.
If you will use the energies of the Moon to help you get
specific goals accomplished in your daily living, you will soon
discover its power, and it will no longer be a mystery to you.
