How to Setup HP Deskjet 2655?

HP Desk Jet 2655 Setup is a low end printer which can perform all the basic printer functions such as print and copy. Generally, this printer is focused on home users and students. It also supports wireless printing through a smartphone or tablet. HP Printer Software handles most of the print settings. From the Print Driver settings, you can manually change the print quality, paper type and you can send the print job by the e-Print Feature and HP Mobile Apps.

Document Printing

You can Download and Install the Printer Software from the HP Official Website. Open the Document or Photo that you want to print and click the print button. Choose your Printer Device from the list of available printers. Choose Portrait or Landscape Orientation from the Layout Tab and select the appropriate paper type from the Paper/ Quality tab.  Use the Advanced Tab to select the correct paper size from the drop-down menu and click OK before closing the Properties Dialog Box. After this process, click the print or OK button.

To Print Both Sides of the Document from Windows OS

Install the HP Printer driver from the HP Official Website. After the 2655 setup and Installation, Open the HP Printer Software and click Print. Select HP Desk Jet printer from the list of available printers. Open the Properties Dialog box to change some basic printer options. You can select the page orientation with the layout tab. Use the Paper or Quality tab to choose the appropriate paper type and you can set the appropriate printer quality with the Quality Settings area. Use the advanced tab to select the correct paper size. From the layout tab, choose the requisite option from the print menu to Print on Both Sides Manually. Choose Ok to start the printing process, after printing the first side of the original follow the on-screen instructions from  and reload the paper into the paper tray and continue with the printing process.

Open the HP Printer Software and choose Print or Print and Scan. Select your printer device from the list of printers, Open the Properties Dialog box and set preferences. Wi-Fi Protected Setup allows user to setup the printer on a wireless network without entering information wireless network related information like Wireless network name (SSID), wireless password (WPA pass-phrase, WEP key).

Use any one of the following methods to set up the printer using WPS

Push Button Method

From the 123.hp.com/dj2655 Printer’s Control Panel, Select  Setup and touch Network. Choose WiFi Protected Setup and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.If prompted, touch push button.

Press and hold the WPS on your wireless router or wireless access point for more than 3 seconds.

Wait for 2 minutes to ensure the printer connection. The Wireless Light stops blinking ,but it remains lit.

PIN Method

From your Printer’s Control panel, use right-arrow and select Setup and choose Network. WPS PIN is printed at the bottom of the page.

Touch WiFi Protected Setup  and follow the Onscreen Instructions. If Prompted, touch PIN.

The WPS PIN will appear on the screen. Now Open the Configuration Utility or Software for the wireless router or wireless access point and enter your WPS PIN.

Loading a Standard Paper

Open the Input tray, slide the paper width guide towards the input tray edges. Load a stack of paper into the input tray with the printer side facing Up. Slide the paper inside until the slider stops. Pull the Output door and pull out the tray extender.
