- The use of adhesives or putty should be avoided. If the sealant is used, contact your sales representative for the recommended sealant.
- The exposed top and bottom of the panel must always be sealed with a suitable polycarbonate "U" profile or aluminum tape to prevent dust and dirt from penetrating into the ribs.
- Extruded bars shall be installed vertically to facilitate drainage.
- Glass panels shall be connected with polycarbonate profiles and installed with a protective U.V. stable surface facing the outside.
- Multilayer wall polycarbonate should not be used with PVC profiles, but a variety of aluminum systems can be used. Consult your sales representative for approved systems.
- Horizontal bars should be avoided. Instead, order the multi-wall polycarbonate sheet of the right length.
- For proper application of multi walls in roof conditions, a slope of at least 5 ° is required.
- Most multi-wall polycarbonate panels have a standard UV coating on one side to protect the panel from fading or discoloration from sunlight. When installing the panel, make sure that the UV coating is facing outward. If the panel is installed with the coated side facing inward, the panel will not be protected.
- For window and wall structures, the ribs of each slab are placed vertically and parallel to the rainwater flow of the roof structure. Some manufacturers recommend drilling drain holes in the U-shaped finish profile at the bottom of the panel to allow condensate to drain naturally from the multi-wall structure by gravity.
- The protective film on each sheet should remain in place during installation, but you do not want to clip it under screws and other finishing hardware. To avoid this, peel off some of the protective films from the top and bottom of the panel before installation so that you can apply them after installation and still remove the coating cleanly.
