How to Add TheGamer in the Steam News Hub

Over the decade, the number of gaming enthusiasts has increased, and so has their demands. And, companies have never failed to upgrade their platform, gaming consoles, and games. Along with major high-end companies and brands, small gaming distribution sites and platforms have also seen an upsurge in their business due to the demands.

Recently, Steam rolled out a new service called Steam News Hub. On this platform, Steam users can get access to a feed full of news, events, and activities of games owned by Steam. The news feed will be entirely personalized, and you will get recommendations based on the games that interest you. You will also be notified about the latest updates, contents released on their platform, announcements, events of the games you play, and more. And now, you can also add TheGamer to your Steam.

In case you are unaware, TheGamer is another platform that is on the rise. It is a gaming news site that is known for publishing video game news with a unique character, and looking for different angles of a story. Their stories and articles are easy to read and follow so people from non-gaming backgrounds can also understand. Although Steam’s News Hub is not entirely ready yet, you can follow pages and topics that suit your interest. It will keep you updated on all your favorite games, which you can access from the Steam website or app. To add TheGamer on your Steam account, follow the guide below.

Visit TheGamer’s Steam Curator Page and click on the Follow button in green color. Keep yourself logged in to your account to instantly get added to the follower list for our Steam page. Once that’s done, you can use a few ways to access the Steam News Hub to get personalized stories on your screen. To check your personalized feed, hover over to the Store section in the Steam app or website. From the drop-down menu, select News. The following page will show you a banner that says “Click here to try out the new Steam News Hub.” Click on it to find a feed of personalized news stories for all the games you follow. Make sure that you follow TheGamer to get news and updates from their page. If you haven’t added them till now, search for its name on the search bar and click on the follow button.

Soon, the Steam News Hub will be integrated into the news tab on the community hub for each game. Until then, the best way to check for updates is by looking at the Steam News Hub and searching for the games and sources individually. You can add or remove the curators at any time. You can also filter your feed by upcoming events, and impose restrictions on the feed to check the news about recently played games only.
