There are several different ways to combat frizzy or Poofy Hair…do you live in an area with high humidity? Is your hair fine or coarse? Do you want your hair to be curly or straight? You have to be careful with which products you use…fine hair can easily be weighed down and look greasy…creams, lotions and oils / serums work great with coarse hair because it needs the heaviness of the product to tame the hair…here is a list of my favorite hair products for controlling frizz.
* After Party by Bedhead is great for medium-coarse hair…can be applied to damp hair and air dried or dried with a diffuser for curly hair…or apply to damp hair, blow dry, then flat iron…leaves hair shiny and silky.
* Silkening Mist by Kenra is great for fine hair…apply to clean, dry hair, in sections as you flat iron…leaves hair silky and shiny, but not greasy or weighed down.
* Extra Body Mousse by Paul Mitchell is great for fine curly hair…you can apply to damp hair and either air dry or use a diffuser…curls will be defined, but not weighed down.
* I always use a humidity resistant hairspray after styling…my favorite is Shaper Plus by Sebastian…it protects from humidity, but won’t give you helmet hair.
* Masterpiece hairspray by Bedhead has a stronger hold plus adds shine.
* If you are looking for less maintenance, then you can always have a keratin treatment done…I use Ambroisie by Rene Chardon…it’s kind of hard to find here in the states, so if you can’t find someone who uses it, I recommend Marcia Texeira Brazilian Keratin Treatment.
