It is easy to wonder if miracles still happen. You hear of flooding, earthquakes and other horrors. Suicides due to bullies has increased. Gunmen walk into stores, businesses even military bases and shoot others. It could be easy to see only the bad, yet good news is often under-reported. It is not as sensational, yet good still happens. Miracles exist.

What are you reading?

If you are reading online, when you click one story, the stories off to the side that appear, are similar to the one you are reading. If your story is sad, about the problems and woes of the world, the stories off to the side will be as well. Yet there is good news.

Did you know about the Chilean Miners?

The miners were leaving acim . Most were still gathered, two instead of leaving were side-tracked by a white butterfly 2000 feet below ground. That distraction kept them away from the collapse when it happened. The 33 men survived 17 days on 2 days worth of food. Instead of barely hanging on, they were amazingly healthy even those with previous conditions. The mission to reach them was expected to take 4 months, it took just over 2. The rescue was expected to take days, it took under 24 hours.

While the story is loaded with miracles, imagine how small a miracle it was for white butterfly to appear to save two lives. It is the smallest of miracles that made the difference. Yet these are often the miracles we discredit. We may even chalk up a miracle to a bad experience.

How can a bad experience be a miracle?

Most all of us have had the bad experience but only occasionally do we realize that it is a miracle. Perhaps you leave something at home that you simply must have. You drive back home all the while upset and cursing. Then you head back out, and there in the intersection where you would have been if you did not turn around, is a major accident.

Perhaps you reach over to adjust the radio as the light changes. You are pause still adjusting the radio as a car speeds through the light. If you had been going, you would have been hit on the side.

Have you looked for miracles?

Perhaps you have not seen either of those. That does not mean miracles do not exist. Some miracles seem so small we do not notice. Some miracles may not happen directly to you, yet their occurrence indirectly helps you. People you work with and talk to may not be here if a miracle did not occur. Miracles still happen just look around and you will see miracles are everywhere.
