It's not really a game. It looks like one but plays more like a virtual novel. The most depressing story I ever played through. Super gloomy. Yuck. Just yuck. Mind you, this doesn't mean I didn't like it. I have to admit there is something about this novel and it's storyline that is very gut-wrenching (not the kind of story one forgets easily). The main character definitely left a serious impression on me and all of the characters have distinct personalities. One has to have played through this story to really understand my point of view and how I feel about it. It's hard to describe. If you're up for a ride on an emotional rollercoaster down the toxic bowels of hell, then go ahead and get this title. I really did love the characters and their interactions. There is definitely something memorable about it. Though I never want to be left feeling so toxic & emotionally battered after playing through a game or a novel again. It was an interesting experience, but it's not something I'd recommend indulging in, unless you love feeling traumatized, lol. Would I do it again? Secretly, yes. But it's definitely not something I could do regularly because it's emotionally heavy. However, 9,99 bucks is quite steep for this novel, so there's no way I'd recommend investing that much. Get this title on sale! WARNING! there's a whole lot of text! And hardly any control over the characters. A lot of what was mentioned, could have been illustrated through imagery. The amount of described details really bogged me down and sapped my energy, phew! Though I am impressed by the author's ability to fit in so many detailed descriptions. There are numerous chapters, but the majority of them are ridiculously short - and I'm not exaggerating. They are indeed ultra short. Quite unnecessary and impractical. All in all, it was interesting. But not something I'd want to redo.. I've only played two hours or so, so far, but at this point I'm already a little fatigued. Up up to 'Chapter 6' and I've been in control on the characters a total of twice. So far it's more of a visual novel. Very interesting though.. I don't normally write review however i have not long complete three ending and felt i need to say a few things about this. First, I am enjoyed this game it kepted me interested and i liked the ideas in the story, however i think i could be improved. It is more like a visual novel than most of the other rpg maker games in have played. The story was interesting with few twists but I have still have a few questions that have been and probably will be left un answered. Way to many chapters for me as some of them have very little content. I also found there were things that I didn't know or showed any signs of being they until the last half an hour of the game and this made it rushed. The Virus for me just got out of control, I felt the impending doom with every turn but every turn it felt like someone asked what was going to go wrong next and the answer was Lets evolve the virus. The RPG battle system for the little bit it was in, should have either been a more of a thing whether it was just fighting humans or the undead or just not there at all. Some of the characters were well done but others i didnt spend nearly enough time with or know enough about to feeling anything for when they passed on. If i am completely on honest i would buy this however not for the u00a36.99 price tag, I believe its a bit high. I did buy this on sale and it was worth the money i spent.. A sympathetic story-based zombie apocalypse game about teenagers who already know their fate, but try to live it properly by ruling out their remorse! Highly recommendable for the story! PRO: - The story (finally a zombie apocalypse story who focuses on the psychology of the characters instead of killing ton of Zombies) - The structure of chapter which make the story easier to follow - The build-up of the characters - The connected universe/story - The price - The length not too long, not too short (around 5.5 6.0 hours) CON: - The unuseful free roam that doesn't allow us to interact with anything which making us losing the pace. - The non-custom graphic which makes the game looking generic despite having a wonderful story - Music are sometimes not adapted to what's happening in the story - The fact that action scenes are sometimes written instead of being graphically shown, which should be the main purpose of transposing a story in a video game. Showing visually what the text can't express.. It isn't very interactive, essientially little more than a story where you have to move the characters occasionally. But if you like visual novels, then that is probably fine with you. And if you like being depressed then you will love this.
