GALLUP: MORE AMERICANS UNDER 30 VAPE THAN THEY SMOKE

As cheap vape deals continues to decline in the United States, vaping has surpassed smoking among Americans under 30, according to a Gallup poll. The poll also showed that younger people’s views of vaping are more positive than that of older Americans.

Only 22% of of 18-29 year olds think vaping is very harmful. Gallup recently reported that 9% of all adult Americans say they regularly or occasionally vape. But the rate is 20% among those 18 to 29 years of age compared with 8% among those 30 to 64 years of age, and less than 0.5% among those 65 and older. Using the same measure, Gallup finds 16% of 18- to 29-year-olds smoke cigarettes regularly (11%) or occasionally (5%).
Turning Point Brands has acquired VaporSupply, an Oklahoma based retailer and wholesale supplier of electronic cigarettes. VaporSupply, formerly known as VAPORWORLD, also manufactures the DripCo line of e-liquid and owns the domain. Both of these assets are included in the sale to Turning Point Brands.

This acquisition is the latest for Turning Point Brands in the electronic cigarette space, previously having acquired Vapor Beast, based in California and Vapor Shark, based in Florida. The company is perhaps best known for it's ZigZag brand of rolling papers, but also has a business segment known as NewGen, into which this latest acquisition will fall. Terms of the deal were not disclosed as of the publishing of this post.
