‘Forum’ brings the funny

Chris Ebke is the music director for the show and his wife Sarah plays Domina, a featured role. Brother David is Pseudolus, one of the leads.
Mom and Dad — Steve and Debi — also are in the act as part of the ensemble.
It’s the first time they’re all working together on a show, though all have been involved in various area community theater productions over the years.

Music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim and the book is by Larry Gelbart, who later created and produced the TV series M*A*S*H , and Burt Shevelove. The farces of Plautus, a Roman playwright who lived from 251-183 BC, inspired their work.
The somewhat racy plot centers on Pseudolus, a slave, and his quest for freedom as he helps his master woo the girl next door. The rest of the cast features Mike Palmreuter, Gene Hinkle, Chris Scott, Michael O’Brien, Kassie Kraemer, Jesse Black, Emma Budzinski, Emily Jacobson, Hayley Siedlik, Jessie Curry, Meredith McMullen, Curtis Samuel Jersey Faith Evertson, Joy Rutar, Chris Latta and Sam Buck.
The show runs on weekends through July 23.
