The heavy-duty caster category encompasses all industrial casters. The duty rating, on the other hand, is determined largely by maximum weight capabilities and incorporates characteristics such as durability and structure. These casters are used in heavy industrial applications that require operational reliability.

A caster is an undriven single, double, or complex wheel that attaches to the bottom of a bigger device (commonly referred to as a rig) to allow operators to move it effortlessly. Casters are available in a variety of materials, wheel sizes, tread widths, weight ratings, and overall heights to provide mobility to your equipment in a variety of work conditions.

The ease of movement and mobility are two of the most important advantages of employing a caster. The rolling resistance associated with getting a caster going and keeping it moving determines how readily it moves.

Resistance - Larger wheels built of a tougher material have lower starting and rolling resistance than smaller wheels made of a softer substance. One disadvantage of larger-diameter wheels is that the cart's center of gravity will be higher. With larger, high-stacked cargo, this increased height might make a cart less stable.

In the production of polyurethane, casting also plays a significant role. The task of polyurethane casting (pouring molten poly into molds) is done manually in the fabrication of industrial caster wheels. This ensures that no air is trapped, which might impair the materials' cross-linking. Proper casting also offers the optimum balance of tear strength and tensile strength in heavy-duty industrial applications.
