About This Game

A short adventure story by Midian Design.

Professor Higgins weather experiment has gone haywire, causing what seems to be the apocalypse! He soon rises to the surface to find his home-town destroyed and its inhabitants leading new post-apocalyptic lives.

But where is his family? Can he reach them? And is there any hope of reversing this catastrophe with one of his other dodgy inventions?

Find out as you help Doc Apocalypse and his family travel time and space and the bizarre region to find other secret projects and ancient sites that could explain and eliminate this disastrous timeline!

Still trying to wrap my head around the BIZARRE plot (and ending), but I had plenty of fun with this - the main protagonist is full on mad, rude and self-centered, or short: very entertaining, with a convincing voice actor. Jonnie Hurn's grumpy British accent carries this game throughout to the end.
(I probably wouldn't have played the original version without voices.)

Also, I'm a fan of Midian Design's pre-rendered backgrounds, they are simple, but in a confident way, like somebody knew what they wanted to achieve and they pulled it off.

Doc Apocalypse<\/i> skilfully blends pseudo-science, ghosts, post-apocalyptic family drama, zaniness, evil Nazis (of course) into a game that somehow still does not come across as totally ridiculous. It's a miracle that this (mostly) works. It takes a lot of guts to believe in a vision so out there. Doc Apocalypse<\/i> is funny where it wants to be, but it's not clownish.

Great game if you go in with the right expectations. (Like, some of the secondary voice actors are just okay and some are grating. But his was made by one guy, keep that in mind.). pretty graphic, fun to play....
