A very (initially) fun and enjoyable semi real time strategy game at a glance that quickly devolves into a giant ♥♥♥♥♥how of archaic and mind-numbingly stupid "war-against-the-controls", as well as a virtually freemium mindset when it comes to the AI (read: bordering ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t)

Crush your enemies has a lot of things going for it that sadly get hampered by whomever decided to NOT include any kind of configurable control layout, complete lack of quick controls (which trust me, get pretty mandatory in the later parts) and decided to INSTEAD add these under the gamepad control layout.

The two do not co-exist, and having any keyboard/mouse inputs disable the controller inputs (the controller being the literal only way to have quick commands) turns this otherwise fun game into an eldritch nightmare that quite literally lacks basic features.

On the good side there are:
- Very satisfying artworks
- A clever gameplay design that isn't overly complex, but not backwards or stupid either
- A rather cleverly designed musical score.
- A typical mobile story. Personal preference as these are genuinely always terrible and this does not disappoint.

On the extreme bad side there are
- Broken basic gameplay controls
- Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t AI difficulty spikes. We are talking 4v1 scenarios where side objectives for 100% completion include defeating all 4 of these. You have exactly 0 advantages over enemy units by the time these start to show up, and thus reveals the critical flaw of freemium mobile gaming, where normally one would throw money at the problem to make it disappear, there is no such option here.
- A typical mobile story. Personal preference as these are genuinely always terrible and this does not disappoint. Lazy 4th wall breaking included.

In the end:
Sadly a no.

If they ever update this to add functional human being controls, give it a try, but so long as this isn't an option, and you happen to be a completionist, this will cause more salt than a typical thursday work hour CS:GO match.. A simple but interesting strategy game. The single player is well-paced. The levels range from easy to challenging, but the optional goals for each stage add extra difficulty when its wanted.

Would have to play more for a really in-depth review, but even the first campaign (of three) is worth 3.50.. I loved the Game right from the beginning.

+ Single Player is really fun with these crazy dialogues, and teach you the game in an easy way
+ Multiplayer is much fun to play against other people on the internet

+Since you are able to move your units whenever you want, the game becomes more controllable
and there is more skill required as the game looks in the first place.

+ Still this game is very very easy to understand and dont take much time.

+ The Design is simple and clean

+ There are Maps which require to macro for ressources, and some dont require that.

In my opinion this game has highly potential!
Imagine 2vs2 Maps or maybe 3vs3. Could be very much fun to play with your friends.

I highly recommend this game to all people who like to play some quick games vs your friends or random people
on the internet, specially for all RTS fans!

. Not bad..... can have a try..... CRUSH THY ENEMY!. The game can be fun however some of the challenges make me want to kill myself thereby killing all the fun I was/trying to have. Some of the challenges such as time trials and not having more than 20 people in one group are some of the more annoying ones. I highly recommend not trying to complete all the challenges.. Really fun and original!
The game play is easy to understand but really challenging to get 3 stars.
Hope there's more DLC for new levels but soundtrack&wallpapers.
. we all know how they ''recrute'' new soldiers.... I got won over by this game!

It's certainly a mobile-type with simple controls and three star scenarios but there's a lot of polish for a humble idea here and there's continually more and more additional elements to make things interesting. Great music, amusing writing, and I think the pixel art is great at getting the point across.

Complaints wise the objectives aren't always easy and require a remarkable amount of math at times for a game supposedly about big dumb barbarians attacking things but there's little in the way of penalization as long as you accomplish at least one goal, and that goal is in the title.

A charming, swift, enjoyable skill challenge. There's plenty of rubbish out there without any care and this seems to avoid that.

So Fend off all that political nonsense with a dose of new content, as this free update introduces a third campaign for more murder and mayhem, just right for slaughtering your way across 11 brand-new levels.

Prefer to pillage with friends? Muk’s update also has you covered with 2 New multiplayer and skirmish levels, with new features such as a Mushroom Ground type tile and extended setup phase and more, all to help you better annihilate your rivals. Plus you can now play 3 maps from single player in multiplayer online , just in case you’re not too much of a boozy numpty to have enough other people to play with.

Additionally this update includes a beer-barrels worth of new fan requested features. Here’s a quick breakdown of the important additions that the update includes:

• Third campaign containing eleven new levels;
  
• Three maps from Local multiplayer now in Online multiplayer
  
• Two new Local, Online multiplayer and skirmish levels;
  
• Extended setup phase mechanic featured in the new campaign and new multiplayer levels - you can now choose buildings and squads to place on predefined spots on the battle map;
  
• New tile - Fungi of Doom, which hurt units walking on them
  
• You can now reset your shopping (and get your beer back) after finishing the campaign
  
• Reset Campaign button (resets everything but achievements and campaign unlocks);
  
• VSync ON, which improves performance on most devices.
  
• MatchMaking based on game version - available battles, items;
  
• Multiplayer: tweaked connection system
  
• UI fixes
  
• Now you can navigate with keyboard in the menus
  
• Tent and Dummy item fix - now you can't put those items on existing ones
  
• Let’s roll” disabled during animation (caused some overly early battle starts in MP)
  
• Multiplayer: abandoned battles count as loses

Pretty sweet right? So start your holiday celebration early by grabbing a few pints of foamy beer and start smashing some more skulls to add to your already impressive collection!

We've been closely listening to your feedback and requests, and we're happy to announce that Update #1 is now available.

This update addresses some of the reported issues with the game, whilst adding some new requested options. Additionally it also adds a new Chinese language option, so that a new community of players can now enjoy Brog's insightful commentary on the merrits of battle and barbarian life.
