Bulletproof follows two cops, Bishop and Pike, as they chase down hardened criminals in London's East End. On the surface Bishop and Pike have a lot in common they are cool, smart, unapologetically street-wise and tough; they share a deep, fraternal relationship - and are always there for each other. However, they come from very different backgrounds and their personal motivations and emotional lives outside the police force differ as a result: Pike is an aspirational family man, the son of a decorated police officer who's determined to follow in his father's footsteps, but not be in his shadow. Bishop grew up in care homes and on the streets, and never knew his father. Despite these differences Bishop and Pike are bonded by the same moral code and work brilliantly well together even when the chemistry between them looks set to explode.
Growing up, Bishop and Pike had very different lives. Pike's dad was the first black police commissioner and the son grew up always trying to live up to expectations, while Bishop grew up looking for a father figure as he was passed around foster homes, moving from school to school. Bulletproof will put their friendship to the test for the first time.
Just when you thought the 1970s were buried and forgotten, this offensive collection of worn out cliches comes along to let you know that - actually - the 'buddy cop' genre will never go away and leave us alone!

Scripted by a class of ten-year-old boys, this reprehensible dross resurrects every known cop cliche in the book almost as if it's a deliberate parody of cop shows.

Maybe it is and I'm just too thick to get the joke! So people from countries, other than the UK, do not get confused, British police are not armed. Neither do they run around having raging gun fights in cities, firing indiscriminately especailly as their aim is woeful - couldn't hit a cow's backside with a banjo woeful. Neither do they engage in dangerous car chases.

That aside, the terrible script, plot and Noel Clarke, proving that he can't really act beyond two expressions, really does drag this nonsense down to the ground.

Unfortunately there is the so bad is it good flirtation with your interest and no doubt I shall suffer a few more episodes. Some are born to be masochists.
