The working principle of the battery heavy impact test chamber is to set a heavy hammer or ball of specific mass at a certain height to impact the lithium battery in the form of free fall, and observe the reaction of the battery after impact. The battery heavy impact test chamber is equipped with voltage and temperature acquisition system, video monitoring system, fire extinguishing system, explosion-proof system and salt mist filtering system, which ensures that the battery can effectively avoid dangerous accidents in case of fire during the test. Place the cell or polymer cell for the test sample on a flat and smooth plane

Place a cross bar with a diameter of 158mm across the middle of the battery and drop an object with a mass of 91kg to the sample from a height of 61 ± 2.5cm.

The longitudinal axis of the specimen subjected to impact shall be parallel to the flat surface and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the 158 + 01mm diameter curved surface placed transverse to the center of the specimen. Each specimen is subjected to only one impact.

Results: the maximum surface temperature of the cell or battery shall not exceed 170 ℃, and there shall be no disintegration and ignition of the cell and polymer cell within 6 hours after the test.

When using the battery heavy impact test chamber, pay attention to check whether the vehicle test bench is fixed and whether the steel wire lock is firm before operation, so as to avoid falling impact deviation; When placing the test battery, clean the round pipe of the steel hammer, but do not put your hand into it to avoid being accidentally injured, and keep the steel wire rope perpendicular to the steel hammer.

During the test, close the chamber door tightly to avoid injury caused by battery explosion and fire. In case of fire and explosion of the battery after the test, please wait for the testing machine to extinguish the fire and clean the smoke before cleaning the battery debris.
