Are You Willing to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there must be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, that which was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your life since it appears to be nowadays with regards to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So when we discuss the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to building a big house of cards, stacking on one card after the other. A good wind occurs and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory;acim authors

It had been this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; dozens of issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It surely comes down to the essence of who's my cousin? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried any particular one?So you are asking the question, “If someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental.

What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaing frankly about thoughts. First He's speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That's the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What type of things would you invest in, nowadays?
