Jamie Electro joined the MCU in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Does that mean Andrew Garfield will also return to the Marvel Universe? In the recent reboot of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans saw Tom Holland as Peter Parker in the live-action iteration. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was designed to set up sequels that revolve around Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man. Unfortunately, that plan did not work, and Spidey jumped off to the MCU.

Spider-Man is a fictional character created by Stan Lee and featured in Marvel Comics; it appeared in many TV movies. Nicholas Hammond is the first Peter Parker or Spider-Man in the 1977 Spider-Man film. Sony Pictures Entertainment bought the film’s rights in 1999, and Tobey Maguire ruled the character from 2002-2007. In Marc Webb’s film, Andrew Garfield played the superhero character in 2012 and 2014 films. In 2015 Sony announced that it would share Spider-Man movies’ rights with Marvel Studios and Disney and Spider-man became an integrated part of Marvel Cinematic Universe. And Tom Holland is featured as the new Peter Parker in five films to date.

MCU’s involvement in Spider-man is quite exciting for the fans as Marvel can have its solo series. The studios, Marvel, Disney, and Sony, announced the upcoming project Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. And since then, fans are speculating what the story will be all about after the cliffhanger ending sequence of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Now there is speculation that the character of Electro by Jamie Foxx will be re-appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3, the character featured in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
However, the studios have not disclosed any details about Electro’s character officially, but it still got all the fan’s attention. The Marvel Universe is set to be back with it Phase 4, and it could explain the returning of Electro as a new version of the multiverse. The comeback of Electro surely opened gates for Garfield in the MCU. Andrew’s returning is something fans have been asking for years. And that is why the return of Electro created so much speculation about the possible return of Garfield. Andrew’s Spider-Man did not meet expectations, but he can do much better with a better screenplay.

Will Garfield return in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 movie is still a big question. And hopefully, as MCU is growing bigger, it will increase more possibilities to bring back the Marvel characters.
