The upcoming Off-White x Nike http://www.newoutletonline.com sneaker collaboration is both the best and worst kept secret in the sneaker world these days. On the one hand, our repeated requests to Nike for any information on the release date or even a confirmation of the collaboration's existence have been essentially stonewalled. On the other, not only have several images of the supposed sneakers leaked online, but Virgil Abloh (the man behind Off-White) himself has worn the shoes on several occasions—including on the biggest night in fashion, the Met Gala. So, it doesn't seem that Abloh has much interest in being inconspicuous about the collaboration, though details remain in short supply. That said, here's what info we do have thus far.
A major collaboration between Off-White and Nike is in the works.
The upcoming Off-White x Nike sneaker collaboration is http://www.outletcollectionsale.com both the best and worst kept secret in the sneaker world these days.
1. Pictures of Five Off-White x Nike Sneakers Have Surfaced
So far, images have surfaced of the Off-White x Air Force 1, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 (in a version of the classic "Chicago" colorway, which makes sense as Abloh is a Chicago native), the Off-White x Nike Air Max 90, the Off-White x Nike Blazer Mid, and the Off-White x Nike VaporMax. Some outlets have reported that there will be ten Cheap Nike Air Max For Men sneakers in the line-up, including the Nike Presto and Cortez, but that detail remains unconfirmed.
2. Each Uses a "Half-Finished" Design, According to Abloh
During a recent lecture at RISD, Abloh described the reasoning for the heavily branded, inside-out design of the sneakers. Wearing the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 sneakers, Abloh said, "They're basically half-finished shoes that are existing in the real world and have been produced. To me that's a quintessential bullet point of the Off-White design philosophy and the freedom we have now." It's a design methodology that high-fashion designers like Maison Margiela (one of Abloh's self-described idols) became famous for, and from that, we get details like the non-functional lace-loops near the toe, the half stitched on Nike swoosh, and the labeled shoe parts, like "shoelaces" and "Air." As for why Abloh uses quotes around seemingly literal descriptions, he said that he does it to make people look twice at the word and to give it a new context.
3. They'll Probably Cost More Than an Average Pair of Nikes
So far, the only reported price for any shoe in the collaboration is for the Air Jordan 1, which will supposedly retail for $350. Any time a high-profile fashion designer works with a big sneaker label, whether it's Nike or Adidas or Puma, higher price points are to be expected. And with all of the extra work that ironically these "half-finished" shoes must take to create, we wouldn't be surprised to see every shoe in the set retail for $300+.
Stay tuned for more information on what is Nike Air Max 90 Online Cheap sure to be one of the most hyped-up sneaker releases of 2017.
