它有著英國黃皮叢書派的唯美主義，王爾德式紈絝子弟的精緻主義，潘海利根香水真正詮釋了什麼是高冷典雅的浪漫主義～如果說祖瑪瓏是英式代表里的網紅，那麼潘海利根就是那個一如既往高居神壇的硬核存在……
潘海利根誕生於1870年，創始人William Penhaligon在St. James的Jermyn Street上開了一家理髮店，當時不遠處有一家叫做Hammam的土耳其浴室，很多客人在那裡洗完澡後便會來到他這裡刮鬍子。後來，他萌生出了一個靈感，在1872年的時候創造了第一瓶Hammam Bouquet香水，這款香水的香調富有東方異域風情，廣受貴族們的歡迎，至今仍是潘海利根的經典香氛。
在維多利亞女王統治時代的末期，潘海利根先生被選為皇家理髮師和調香師，最初的舊店鋪也經歷了多次「搬家」，新店最終在Covent Garden落戶，成為了品牌的旗艦店。
1903年，潘海利根獲得首張英國皇室認證許可，一百年後的今天，潘海利根仍然持有兩項皇室認證，分別獲頒自愛丁堡公爵及威爾斯親王。除了香水，他們還生產沐浴相關的產品，連英國首相丘吉爾也用它。
