為提供旅客更方便、快速購買餐點的服務，台灣高鐵新竹站在車站大廳設置「高鐵便當」販售攤位，推出中、晚餐各70個「古早味肉排」及「油蔥腿仁排」以及「醬燒如意排」3款特價便當。
高鐵新竹站長邱偉峰表示，高鐵公司此次是與高雄空廚合作，由曾任高雄寒舍圓頂餐廳研發總主廚的莊宏隆為高鐵量身設計全新餐點，以多樣化的菜色豐富味覺感受，食材更是嚴選當令蔬果，經過嚴格衛生的烹飪程序，打造營養、新鮮的高鐵便當。
提供的3款便當分別為「古早味肉排」、「油蔥腿仁排」以及為素食旅客特別推出的「醬燒如意排」素食便當，每個原價120元，特價100元，而在台北、左營站上車的旅客，只要搭乘車次為供餐車次，亦可直接於第6至第7車玄關處購買，同樣輕鬆又便利。
