4. Formability: 6061 aluminum alloy can form T651 state during cold treatment, or T451 state after tempering. T451 has higher formability than T651.
5. Corrosion resistance: 6061 series aluminum alloy, T651/T652/T6 state, has good corrosion resistance. Compared to 5XXX alloys, 6XXX still exhibits excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to high temperature environments.
6. Weldability: 6061 t651 aluminum plate is easy to weld, and can be used as a suitable filler in either GTA-W or GMA-W case, in the heat-affected zone, the tensile strength of the weld can be reduced to 165- 200MPa. In special cases, post-weld heat treatment can restore some of the lost strength.
