قال المتحدث باسم وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة ، الدكتور أيمن حمزة ، عن الطاقة التي تعتمد عليها مصر: ” ان الطاقة التقليدية متوفرة بالفعل ، والتي تمكن الدولة من صياغة خطة استراتيجية لهيكل الطاقة ، أي من الطاقة المتجددة ، والتخطيط لها في عام 2035. تبلغ النسبة حوالي 42٪ و 20٪ بحلول عام 2022.
