Symptoms vary depending on the patient, the location of the disc herniation, and how long it has been there. The majority of persons over 30 do have a herniation, however, only approximately 20% of them are symptomatic. Slipped disc symptoms may feel like arm or leg discomfort, numbness, or weakness, while other patients experience no symptoms at all.
