"Mission: Impossible 8" Doesn't Make It to Theaters on Time

Originally, the film was supposed to hit theaters on June 28, 2024. Not only the date but also the title "Dead Reckoning Part Two" will change.
The sequel to the post-apocalyptic cinema hit "A Quiet Place: Day One" is also delayed by three months from its initial schedule. The film was supposed to be on the big screen on March 8, 2024, but fans will have to wait until June 28, 2024. A planned "Spongebob Squarepants" film is also delayed by seven months, shifting from May 23, 2025, to December 19, 2025.
These productions join the list of previously known cinema delays, including the tennis romance "Challengers," the sequel to the science fiction film "Dune," or the concluding part of the trilogy "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse." The latter hasn't even received a new release date. However, there are exceptions: John Krasinski's (44) fantasy comedy "IF," starring Ryan Reynolds (47), Alan Kim (11), and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (38) in the leading roles, will be released earlier than planned, on May 17, 2024, instead of May 24, 2024.
